If you cant make it to a consultation venue and you haven’t got a numbered for to fill in you can go online & fill in an online consultation form.

The online consultation form is provided by a company called Survey Monkey.
They are a large online organisation that specialise in providing online surveys for companies & public bodies far & wide.
Although it’s a strange name, if your web page directs you to Survey Monkey don’t worry, it is genuine!
There is some software which checks something called an IP address (this is a unique identifier of the network (internet) you are on. Each computer has a different one.
Survey monkey will ONLY ALLOW 1 ONLINE CONSULTATION FORM TO BE COMPLETED PER IP ADDRESS.
WCC Confirmed: Survey Monkey also records IP addresses to enable County Council officers to monitor if multiple devices are being used from one IP address.
This means you cannot sit & repeatedly complete online form after online form as you will be stopped.
It also means that if there is more than one person eligible to take part in the consultation per household you’re not going to be able to do it using an online form unless you know how to reset your IP address.
Unfortunately it’s what is known as a click through document, which means it doesn’t give visibility to the questions until you are being asked them.
Because of this we contacted the county council & asked them to provide a copy of the questions as some people might actually want to think about the answers they give.
It turns out they aren’t very in depth or searching!
The questions you’ll be asked are:
1. Traffic congestion in West Nuneaton causes problems in my day to day activities.
2. Do you support the proposed new highway link route across Bermuda Bridge?
3. What changes would you like to see on the proposed scheme?
4. We would welcome further comments on the proposed new highway link road across Bermuda Bridge.
We had intended to set up a surgery at the Phoenix Centre, for people that don’t have internet access or the knowledge of how to use the online consultation form to come along where we can help them. Unfortunately with the IP logging software in place at Survey Monkey we were told by the council that we would not be able to do this.
People are unable to repeatedly submit online forms as Survey Monkey only allows one response per device.
Survey Monkey also records IP addresses to enable County Council officers to monitor if multiple devices are being used from one IP address.
There is also a good chance that you may not be able to use any computers at the Public Library to complete an online consultation form because of the same thing.
PLEASE DON’T LET THIS PUT YOU OFF LOGGING OBJECTIONS TO THIS SCHEME!!!
