Public Consultation Objection Report & Drawings

Please find below links to the report and drawings issued by the Bermuda Bridge Action Group to Warwickshire County Council on the 9th October 2015 as the response from local communities in West Nuneaton to the Bermuda Connection proposals

There is a huge amount of evidence to back up the case to scrap the scheme as well as hundreds of reasons for objection to the scheme covering safety, the environment and social cohesion. Although the public consultation has officially closed with the submission of this report we still need local communities help to lobby the politicians to ensure they are aware of the key findings of this report before making a decision at Cabinet in November whether to proceed or stop the scheme.  Further details will be provided of how to assist with what we hope will be the final element of the campaign to keep the bridge reserved purely for sustainable transport modes.

Drawings BBAG/DWG/012-019: AM & PM Traffic Queue Comparison

(Comparison of opening year and existing queues using Atkins Traffic modelling data. It should be noted that this traffic modelling does not match the public consultation layouts and therefore the modelling over-estimates the capacity of the junction and if remodelled to suit the current layout queues would be longer than shown in these drawings.)

(These drawings are based on a PDF copy of the public consultation proposals document blown up to a reasonable scale to aid members of the community in understanding the impact of the proposals after larger scale plans were refused to be provided as part of the public consultation by Warwickshire County Council.)
